Software

  • To exit Arbor XR and get to the standard Quest launcher you will need to go to Settings>General>Exit Arbor XR. Depending on how your organization has asked us to configure your headset, you may require a admin code to access settings. If this is the case you will need to ask your instructor or champion for the code.

  • Connect to Wi-Fi before accessing the application.

  • The Instructor has to be logged in first to open the classroom for guests. Contact your Instructor for more information.

  • Make sure that your volume is turned up on the headset. The volume buttons are located on the bottom right of the headset (when worn).

  • Check the mute button and unmute yourself if activated on the Student Menu.

    Occasionally, the instructor may choose to mute the class. In that instance, the instructor will have to unmute you.

  • Stand up and calibrate your avatar by pressing the B button on the right-hand controller. To avoid future scaling issues and ensure proper guardian set up, make sure you’re standing when launching and signing into Caregiver VR.

  • Simply log back in and you will automatically rejoin the class in the environment the class is currently in.

  • 20 people can be connected to a single classroom, 19 students and 1 instructor.

  • You can have 1 resident and up to 3 caregivers for a total of 4 role-players. Role-players must be using VR and not the desktop application.

    For desktop users go to section 2 of the desktop application checklist and view the Desktop Spectator section.

Hardware

  • Yes, the Quest 2 supports glasses, as long and the included glasses spacer is used and the glasses are under 142MM wide and 50MM tall.

  • Using the AC Charger Adapter and the USB-C cable, it requires approximately 2.5 hours to fully charge. This number may be slower with a un-official charger or cable.

  • The Quest 2 will support any headphone with a 3.5mm jack or USB type c connection.

  • The hand controller software firmware is automatically updated with the software of the VR headset.

  • No, the hand controller's sensitivity is a default setting that cannot be adjusted.

  • Connect the VR headset to a PC using USB-C Data Cable

  • In default settings, the screen will automatically turn off after 10 seconds of inactivity. The system will enter sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. To change the timeouts you can go to Settings>Device>Power

  • Outdoor use is not recommended. The VR headset contains two sets of lenses. These lenses, when exposed to direct sunlight, will cause damage to the device within a short time. Therefore, if you decide to use the VR headset outdoors or leave it where it may be exposed to direct sunlight, as a safety precaution, the lenses should always be covered when not in use. Sunlight damage is not repairable or covered by the limited product warranty.

  • It supports both screen shots and screen recordings.

    To take a screenshot: Press and hold the Oculus Button, while pulling the right trigger once.

    To take a screen recording: Press and hold the oculus button while holding the trigger button down, until you see a popup letting you know the video has started.

  • This is usually because the controllers batteries have died. Replace the old batteries with new AA batteries as needed. Controllers have to be near the headset to activate.

  • Quest updates are automatic. If you want to manually check to see if you’re up to date, you can go to the “settings” menu, select “device”, choose software.

    If an update is available, you will be prompted to install it.

  • The easiest way is to finish guardian setup (setting guardian to stationary boundary). Go to app library, click the search bar, in the right dropdown select “for work” and click “ArborXR Home”.
