2: Using the Classroom Menu

As an instructor there are 5 components to the Classroom Menu you need to know.

Student List: Allows you to see the usernames of all students, their status indicators (thumbs up/down and hand raised) as well as individually mute and unmute students.

Assign Roles Menu: This menu allows you to assign a role-playing role to your students or yourself. Using this menu will allow you to assign people the Caregiver or Resident Role.

Mute All Button: This button will allow you to quickly mute or unmute all of your students, this is useful when starting or ending an open discussion, or if background noise is disrupting your class.

Show Objects Menu: This menu allows you to display large objects to the class, this is useful when showing students what objects look like, or as aids to enhance your lesson plan.

Start Lesson: This menu is used to start the lesson. You can select either the “Residents room” (which aims to emulate a room in a long term care, hospital or hospice environment), or the “Home Room” (which aims to emulate a residents home, and a homecare environment).

Reminder: To select or “click” something use the right controller to aim at it, and right trigger button to select it.
