3: Important Health and Safety Information
Health Precautions and Guidelines
While these issues are uncommon in virtual reality, it is still important to be mindful of them. These should not be confused with generalized discomfort, which is normal for people new to Virtual Reality as they adjust to the headset and should pass.
Dizziness/Discomfort
If you experience dizziness, discomfort, or any physical symptoms during the VR experience, we recommend taking a break and removing the VR headset immediately. Sit or stand in a comfortable, well-ventilated area until you feel at ease.
Emotional Responses
Some users may have emotional reactions to certain triggers in the VR experience. If you feel overwhelmed or distressed, it is advisable to pause the session and consider whether you should continue. It's important to prioritize your mental well-being.
Motion Sickness
Motion sickness can be a common side effect of VR experiences. To minimize the risk, try to focus on stable objects within the virtual environment and take breaks if needed. If motion sickness persists, it's recommended to discontinue the VR session.
Managing Eye Strain and Discomfort
Prolonged use may cause dizziness or eye fatigue. It is recommended that you take a break if you experience eye strain. You may be able to relieve eye strain by watching distant objects.
Claustrophobia or Discomfort
If you experience feelings of claustrophobia or discomfort due to the immersive nature of the VR environment, it's advisable to take breaks as needed. Ensure that you are in a safe and open physical space.
Headset Use Guidelines
The headset is designed and intended to be used in an open and safe indoor area, free of any tripping or slipping hazards. To avoid accidents, remain conscious to the potential confines of your physical area and respect the boundary of your virtual area whenever you see it.
Controller and Physical Space Guidelines
Be sure to use the wrist straps when using the controllers. Make sure that there is enough space around your head and body (at least 2 meters by 2 meters) to stretch your arms to avoid damage or injury to yourself, others, and your surroundings.
Prescription Glasses Compatibility and Usage
The headset is designed to accommodate most prescription glasses. Take care to wear the VR Headset in a manner in which the VR Headset lenses do not rub or impact your prescription lenses.
Protecting Optical Lenses from Damage
Do not expose the optical lenses to direct sunlight or other strong light sources. Exposure to direct sunlight may cause permanent yellow spot damage on the screen.
Proper Lens Cleaning Instructions
Do not use disinfectant or glass cleaner on the lenses, and avoid using clothing, and other fabrics that are not clean and could have collected dust. Only use single use lens wipes or non-abrasive cloths (silk, microfiber...etc.) in combination with lens cleaning solution. Clean before and after use as salt in the sweat, oils and other fluids from your body can damage the thin coating applied to the headsets lenses, permanently causing distortions.
Storing Your VR Headset Safely
Store your headset in a box, bag or other dust free environments. This prevents dust from getting in your eye or damaging the lenses during use.
